Blocked by default
Instead of chasing bad websites one by one, Syv.it closes everything and opens only the sites you add — like a homework site, BBC or Khan Academy.
Free for 1 month · Windows 10 & 11 · Made by a mum
Syv.it blocks every website on your child's Windows account and lets in only the ones you approve — in every browser. Your own account stays exactly as it is.

Why parents choose Syv.it
Children are naturally curious, and it takes time for them to understand what can hide behind an innocent click. Syv.it gives them room to explore the parts of the internet you trust.
Instead of chasing bad websites one by one, Syv.it closes everything and opens only the sites you add — like a homework site, BBC or Khan Academy.
Edge, Chrome, Firefox or a browser your child installs — they all follow the same list, because Syv.it works inside Windows itself.
Tick each child's account. Parent and administrator accounts can never be ticked, so your browsing is untouched.
Only someone with your parent PIN can change the list. Forgot it? Answer your security question and choose a new one.
Add or remove websites any time from Syv.it's own window. Changes reach your child's account in about 30 seconds.
VPNs, proxies and other internet address services aren't on your list, so they can't connect — and protection starts again after a restart.
How it works
Sign in to your own administrator account and open the Syv.it setup file. A friendly wizard checks your children's accounts first.
Pick a 4–8 digit PIN and a security question. You'll need the PIN each time you open Syv.it.
Tick your child's account, type the websites they may use and click Allow. That's it — everything else stays closed.
Watch the guide
Follow along as a parent installs Syv.it, chooses a PIN, adds websites and picks which child to protect.
If Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.

Before you install
Syv.it's setup shows you these steps first, with instructions for creating a child account if you need one.

“We can't keep our children away from the internet, but we can make it safer for them. That's why I created Syv.it — instead of blocking unsafe websites, it blocks everything by default, so parents choose which websites their children can visit.”

No — one subscription covers one computer. Each computer gets its own 1-month free trial and needs its own subscription after that.
Syv.it is a parental control program for Windows. Instead of trying to block bad websites one by one, it blocks every website on your child's Windows account and only lets in the sites you have allowed.
64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. It is a single setup file — nothing else needs to be installed, and it does not run inside a web browser.
Install Syv.it on your own parent account, which must be an Administrator account. Each child needs their own separate Standard (non-administrator) Windows account. The setup wizard walks you through this before anything is installed.
No. Syv.it only applies to the child accounts you tick. Administrator accounts are never blocked, so parents browse normally.
Syv.it works at the Windows level for the whole child account, so every browser and app follows the same list. VPNs, proxies and other DNS services are not on the list, so they cannot connect. No software can be made impossible to get around, so keep your Windows password and Syv.it PIN private and keep children on Standard accounts.
Click "Forgot PIN?" and answer the security question you chose when you set up your PIN. You can then choose a new PIN, and your websites and children's accounts stay the same.
Windows shows this for new programs that are not yet widely known. Click "More info", then "Run anyway". Only download Syv.it from this page.
Syv.it only adds its own Windows Firewall rules for the child accounts you choose and keeps its settings in its own folder. Windows Firewall needs to be switched on.
Your child could be exploring only the websites you trust before dinner tonight. Try Syv.it free for 1 month — then just ₦3,999 per month.
